Job summary

Heads Up Technologies seeks a Field Systems Engineer to design, configure, integrate, test, and support advanced aircraft cabin systems. The role blends hands-on systems engineering with strong customer engagement and travel to customer sites and industry events.

Ideal candidates have a related engineering degree or avionics technician background, 2+ years in aerospace systems engineering (or 5+ years as avionics technician), and excellent communication skills. U.S. citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related engineering discipline or avionics technician experience.
• At least two years of systems engineering experience in an aerospace field, or at least five years as an avionics technician with customer engagement.
• Ability to travel up to 50% of the time to customer sites and industry events.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for diverse stakeholders.
• Experience with audio/video systems, aircraft electronics, and wiring diagrams.
• Familiarity with XML, databases, networking, and error log analysis.
• U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Design system configurations and documentation based on customer needs.
• Test and integrate cabin systems for aircraft installations and demonstrations.
• Support customers via email, phone, and remote tools; troubleshoot fielded systems.
• Travel to customer sites and industry events up to 50% of the time.
• Collaborate with internal teams to translate requirements into reliable solutions.
