Job summary

Southwest Research Institute’s Tactical Aerospace division is seeking a senior avionics architect to design multi-partition, multi-DAL systems within an ARINC 653 environment. You will lead engineering teams through full development cycles, from requirements to flight test, coordinating with customers and upper management to meet mission objectives.

You will mentor teams, develop LRUs for airborne and ground systems, and drive integration efforts in lab, SIL, and aircraft environments while

Qualifications

• 8+ years: embedded architecture design in RTOS multi-partition, multi-criticality environments.
• 2-5 years: experience leading development and test engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to develop avionics LRUs for airborne and ground systems.
• Mentor and develop complex embedded systems through full development cycle (Requirements, design, V&V, qualification).
• Lead integration in lab, SIL, and aircraft; coordinate with customers and management.
• Support marketing and proposal activities and contribute to product/technology roadmaps.
