Blue Origin Engines seeks an experienced electrical engineer to design avionics hardware for rocket engines and spaceflight applications. You will lead analog and digital circuits, develop rugged boards, and support analyses from concept through production, with emphasis on reliability and testability.

The role requires strong collaboration across teams, mentorship of junior engineers, and a passion for safe human spaceflight. Base pay reflects expertise in a high-stakes aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in electronics hardware development.
• Hands-on analog and digital circuit design, test and debug.
• Expert knowledge of Op-Amp circuits for instrumentation.
• Knowledge of signal integrity, power conversion, grounding and layout.

Responsibilities

• Electrical design of analog instrumentation measuring environmental and combustion conditions.
• Electrical design of actuator circuits for solenoids or servo systems.
• Interpret system and quality requirements for electrical products.
• Develop circuits, boards and rugged hardware across life cycle; from concept to production.
• Support FMECA, DFx and root-cause analyses of test discrepancies.
• Manage design schedules of avionics subsystem.
• Routinely present program status and issues.
• Identify root cause failure modes using fault trees and fishbone methods.
