Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking an Avionics Cable Harness Design Engineer to design electrical harnesses for power, RF and data systems in spaceflight programs. You will create 2D and 3D harness drawings, route harnesses in Creo/RSD, and support hardware installation and testing. You will collaborate with mechanical and electrical teams, applying EMI/RFI considerations while ensuring compliance with aerospace standards.

A B.S. in engineering and 5+ years in harness design are required; U.S.

Qualifications

B.S. degree or higher in Mechanical or an appropriate engineering field.
5+ years of experience designing Wire Harnesses for the Aerospace industry.
Experience with Creo and Windchill and Routed System Designer (RSD).
Understanding and application of wire derating analysis.
Familiar with IPC/WHMA-A-620A, NASA-STD-8739.4.
Strong electrical/mechanical design and integration using 3-D CAD.
Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted...
Desired: CREO Schematics and/or Piping.
Experience with other CAD routing software such as UnigraphicsNX.Electrical routing
Knowledge of harness fabrication and installation processes.
Experience with launch vehicle or spacecraft electrical/mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

Design electrical harnesses for power distribution, RF, and high-speed data signals.
Create harness detail and installation drawings from 3D harness data.
Develop 2D flat harness drawings and 3D routed harness files in Creo/RSD.
Provide technical guidance for hardware installation and integration.
Support assembly and testing of cables and harnesses.
