Job summary

GAL AeroStaff Ltd. is seeking an experienced Quality Control Lead to oversee QC Inspectors and ensure FAA Part 145 compliance in a fast-paced aviation environment. You will coordinate with production, engineering, and quality teams to ensure safe, compliant aircraft releases and continuous improvement.

The role requires leadership, deep regulatory knowledge, and hands-on inspection oversight with strong documentation and problem-solving skills. On-site in Macon, GA, with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant license is required.
• Minimum 5-7 years of aircraft maintenance experience.
• Minimum 2-3 years of Quality Control or aircraft inspection experience.
• Strong knowledge of FAA Part 145 regulations is required.
• Leadership or supervisory experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily activities of QC Inspectors.
• Ensure inspection work complies with FAA Part 145 and procedures.
• Verify work with approved data (OEM manuals, SRMs, STCs, etc.).
• Maintain compliance with airworthiness before Return to Service.
• Coordinate with engineering, DERs, and ODAs on approvals.
• Support certification activities and conformity inspections.
• Identify nonconformities and support corrective actions.
• Assist with internal and FAA audits as required.
• Provide QC status updates in production meetings.
