Job summary

HNTB is seeking an experienced engineer to join our Aviation Department, delivering airfield design projects across the Pacific Northwest and beyond. You will lead aviation tasks, mentor junior staff, and coordinate with clients, FAA and other disciplines to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Responsibilities include producing design calculations, technical reports, plans and specifications, and guiding projects from concept through construction while meeting schedule and budget goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 6 years of relevant experience.
• Master’s degree in Engineering and 5 years of relevant experience.
• PhD in Engineering and 4 years of relevant experience
• Experience leading aviation design tasks and coordinating with clients and FAA

Responsibilities

• Lead aviation project tasks and coordinate with other disciplines.
• Mentor junior staff and supervise design deliverables.
• Produce design calculations, technical reports and specifications.
• Ensure projects meet schedule and budget.
