Job summary

HNTB's Las Vegas office is seeking a Senior Airport Civil Engineer to lead the planning and delivery of major airport infrastructure projects, including runways, taxiways, and utilities. You will develop designs, guide construction drawings, and ensure compliance with FAA and TSA requirements.

You will mentor junior staff, coordinate with clients and partners, and contribute to business development through technical proposals and client presentations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with 10+ years of progressive experience in airport projects.
• Professional Engineer license (PE) in California or ability to obtain.
• Experience with Civil 3D for aviation design and infrastructure.
• Strong communication and leadership skills for multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical lead on airport civil infrastructure projects (runways, taxiways, aprons, grading, drainage, utilities).
• Develop and review engineering designs, specifications, and construction documents.
• Provide mentorship and quality control across the project team.
• Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and teaming partners to ensure on-schedule delivery.
