Job summary

Amazon Leo is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to design, build, and maintain software powering in-flight connectivity for commercial airlines. You will contribute to the Leo Aviation Solution platform aboard aircraft, managing cabin networks, satellite connectivity, OTA updates, and operational services for passengers and airlines.

This hands-on role requires architecture input, strong engineering judgment, and the ability to operate with autonomy in a growing, safety-critical

Qualifications

6+ years of professional software development experience.
1+ year mentoring or leading an engineering effort.
Experience in embedded development in C/C++ or architecture of embedded systems.
Experience in designing or architecting scalable, reliable systems.
Experience in managing and troubleshooting networks and full application stacks.

Responsibilities

Design and implement Leo Aviation Solution modules for cabin network management and OTA lifecycles.
Build production-quality software for certified embedded environments with DO-178C Level E.
Develop OTA software lifecycle pipeline with cryptographic validation and rollback.
Create observability infrastructure including health endpoints and telemetry.
Contribute to interfaces and architecture decisions for cross-workstream alignment.
Execute DO-178C-aligned tests across cabin platforms.
Integrate software across multiple cabin hardware platforms with hardware abstraction.
