McFarland Johnson, a 100% employee-owned firm with 80 years of experience, seeks a Senior Resident Engineer to lead airport construction oversight in the Northeast. You’ll be the primary field contact for clients and contractors, guiding inspection teams and coordinating with MJ project managers and designers on runway, taxiway, and other airport infrastructure projects.

The role offers opportunities across multiple Northeast offices, with assignments at major airports.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12+ years in construction inspection, engineering, or resident-engineering roles.
• Experience leading field teams on complex civil infrastructure projects.
• Airport construction preferred; highway work also valued.

Responsabilités

• Lead onsite construction oversight for conformance with plans, specs, and contract requirements.
• Serve as main field contact for contractors, airport staff, and MJ teams.
• Direct and mentor inspection teams; review project documentation.
• Oversee progress, workmanship, schedules, and material testing; resolve issues.
• Prepare and review daily reports, photos, quantities, and records.
• Oversee contractor payments, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and closeout.
