Job summary

Invenergy LLC seeks an OT systems expert to own AVEVA PI System data integrations and ensure reliable operation across control centers.

You will configure data collection from SCADA, DCS, RTU, and PLC sources; administer PI components (Data Archive, Collectives, AF, PI Vision); and lead efforts to improve architecture and reliability. This role requires collaboration with IT and operations teams.

Qualifications

• Five or more years administering enterprise-scale AVEVA PI environments including Data Archives, PI Collectives, AF, Interfaces, Connectors, Adapters, AVEVA Connect, PI Web API, and PI Vision.
• Understanding of TCP/IP networking concepts and troubleshooting communication issues.
• Proficiency with programming and scripting languages such as .NET, PowerShell, and Python.

Responsibilities

• Act as the SME for OT systems focusing on AVEVA PI System and data integrations.
• Configure and maintain data collection into AVEVA PI System from OT platforms (SCADA, DCS, RTU, PLC, and others).
• Evaluate and integrate OT systems with AVEVA PI System.
• Administer AVEVA PI components: PI Data Archive, PI Collectives, AF, Interfaces, Connectors, Adapters, AVEVA Connect, PI Web API, PI Vision.
• Improve PI System architecture, data integrations, and reliability.
• Coordinate IT upgrades, patching, and maintenance.
• Design scalable workarounds for system limits.
• Prepare justifications for modernization and expansion.
• Develop automation using Python, PowerShell, and .NET for maintenance and telemetry.
• Lead resolution of PI System issues affecting performance and data availability.
• Maintain technical documentation for solutions and integrations.
• Support Operations Engineering with data pipelines and automation.
• Maintain real-time data collection for control center operations.
• Lead onboarding for new projects: point definition, system configuration, stakeholder coordination.
• Mentor junior team members.
• Other duties as assigned.
