Job summary

Invenergy is seeking an experienced AVEVA PI System professional to act as the subject matter expert for OT data integrations and system reliability. You will configure data collection from OT sources, maintain PI components, and drive modernization efforts with automation using Python, PowerShell, and .NET.

The role emphasizes collaboration with IT, project startups, and mentoring junior staff, with a base pay range of $125,000–$155,000 per year plus bonus eligibility.

Qualifications

• Five+ years administering enterprise-scale AVEVA PI environments (PI Data Archive, PI Collectives, AF, Interfaces, Connectors, AVEVA Connect, PI Web API, PI Vision).
• Proficiency with programming/scripting languages such as .NET, PowerShell, and Python.

Responsibilities

• Act as the subject matter expert for OT systems, focusing on the AVEVA PI System and data integrations.
• Configure and maintain data collection into the AVEVA PI System from OT platforms (SCADA, DCS, RTUs, PLCs).
• Investigate, evaluate, and integrate complex OT systems with the AVEVA PI System.
• Maintain AVEVA PI System components including PI Data Archive, PI Collectives, AF, Interfaces, Connectors, Adapters, AVEVA Connect, PI Web API, PI Vision.
• Lead efforts to improve PI System architecture, data integrations, and platform reliability.
• Coordinate with IT to implement infrastructure upgrades, patching, and maintenance.
• Design scalable workarounds for system limitations and justify modernization investments.
• Develop automation for system maintenance and custom telemetry feeds (Python, PowerShell, .NET).
• Lead investigation and resolution of PI System issues affecting performance, reliability and data availability.
• Maintain technical documentation for implemented solutions and integrations.
