Job summary

Invasystems Inc. is seeking a Senior AVEVA PI Engineer to lead design, implementation, integration, and optimization of AVEVA PI System (OSIsoft PI) solutions across industries.

You will build scalable data infrastructure, ensure security and high availability, and guide PI System deployments from planning to post-go-live support. Candidates should have 4–7 years of hands-on PI experience, Azure exposure preferred, and the ability to translate business requirements into reliable, real-time data

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• 4–7 years of hands-on experience with the AVEVA PI System (OSIsoft PI).
• Strong knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or VBScript.
• Experience with OPC, MQTT, Modbus, and SQL databases.
• AVEVA (OSIsoft) PI certifications are highly preferred.
• Azure cloud exposure is a plus.
• Experience with PI Integrators is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain AVEVA PI System architecture (PI Server, AF, PI Vision, Interfaces, Connectors).
• Ensure PI infrastructure is secure, scalable, and highly available.
• Lead end-to-end PI System implementations from planning through post-go-live support.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver data-driven solutions.
• Integrate PI with PLC, DCS, and SCADA using PI Interfaces and Connectors.
• Develop and maintain AF hierarchies, Event Frames, calculations, analytics, and PI Vision dashboards.
• Ensure real-time data collection, processing, and visualization.
• Monitor health, perform root-cause analysis, and maintain data integrity.
• Support Industry 4.0 and digital transformation initiatives.
• Create technical documentation and SOPs.
