Job summary

Beacon Hill Technologies is seeking a reliable Senior AV Technician to join our higher education client. This role is responsible for supporting the successful execution of live events by providing hands‑on audiovisual (AV) and event coordination support.

The ideal candidate is dependable, personable, and comfortable working directly with presenters, handling sound checks, setting up microphones and AV equipment, and ensuring a seamless attendee experience.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience supporting Audio/Visual equipment, classroom technology, and basic hardware setup.
• Hands-on environment including sound checks, testing AV equipment, and assisting speakers with microphones and presentation setup.
• Excellent customer service with clear, professional verbal and written communication.
• Able to guide end users through technical solutions clearly and patiently.
• Basic knowledge of Windows/Mac OS, user accounts, software installs, and standard troubleshooting.
• Follow documented processes and escalation procedures.
• Face-to-face onsite support.
• Willingness to work flexible hours.
• Experience with ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems.
• Associate degree required; additional education or relevant certifications are a plus.

• Support live events with hands-on AV and event coordination to ensure a seamless attendee experience.
• Perform sound checks, set up microphones and AV equipment, and assist presenters.
• Communicate clearly with speakers and attendees to resolve issues and provide guidance.
