Job summary

University of Texas at Austin is seeking a Senior Audio Visual Systems Programmer to design and implement control system programming for campus AV deployments. You will create intuitive interfaces, document processes, and train staff across the university’s learning spaces.

The role requires on-campus work at UT Austin with no travel outside the Austin metro area, offering a dynamic environment for advanced AV solutions and ongoing collaboration with a skilled team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Demonstrated Crestron programming skills with independent development, testing, and commissioning.
• Proficiency with Crestron tools and GUI development for end users.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex AV systems.
• Knowledge of computer networking and AV over IP for deployments.
• Strong communication and collaboration with clients and teams.

Responsibilities

• Create control system programming designs and read AV drawings.
• Develop and install touch panel interfaces on site, offsite, and remotely.
• Mentor junior AV Systems programmers and maintain versioned code.
• Perform commissioning, testing, and client demonstrations of systems.
• Produce programming documentation and support project teams.
