Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin seeks a Senior Audio Visual Control Systems Programmer to join the Liberal Arts Technology Integration Team on the UT Main Campus. You will develop control system code, build user interfaces, and deliver training and documentation for campus AV systems.

You will also support and troubleshoot existing installations, ensuring reliability and optimal performance for faculty, staff, and students, collaborating with a skilled team to upgrade systems as technology

Qualifications

• Demonstrated Crestron programming skills with ability to independently develop, test, and commission complete control systems.
• Proficiency with Crestron development tools and programming languages for control programs and touch panels.
• Experience designing Crestron GUI interfaces for clear end-user operation.
• Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and test complex AV systems.
• Familiarity with AV-over-IP and networking concepts relevant to deployments.

Responsibilities

• Create control system programming designs reading AV drawings and gathering requirements.
• Develop and install user interfaces and touch panels on-site, off-site, and remotely; mentor junior programmers.
• Create, maintain, and document enterprise software tools and asset management systems.
• Perform commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting; demonstrate systems to clients; maintain code in version control.
• Provide Tier 3 support to Classroom Help Desk as directed.
• Collaborate with STAs to ensure hardware configurations are complete prior to installation.
• Other related functions as assigned.
