Job summary

AVI‑SPL is seeking an Installation Technician 2 to perform installation tasks for contracted projects, including cable pulls, terminations, and rack wiring. You will lead and direct installation crews on smaller projects, coordinating with the Project Manager to meet time, scope, budget, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction goals.

This role requires strong communication, AV systems knowledge, and the ability to read schematics, install low‑voltage cabling, and troubleshoot issues.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication for client interactions and teamwork.
• Intermediate understanding of audio‑visual systems including projectors, displays, and conferencing gear.
• Experience installing, terminating, and troubleshooting low‑voltage cabling and associated hardware.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve AV equipment issues and read schematics/blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation tasks per project scope and directives.
• Lead Level 1 Technicians on smaller projects with guidance from Project Manager.
• Read and interpret project schematics and blueprints.
• Test point‑to‑point cabling and system functionality; document status.
• Coordinate with Project Manager and other trades; travel to various job sites.
