M.C. Dean is seeking an AV Design Engineer 3 to join the Security and Electronic Systems (SES) unit in Tysons, VA. This role focuses on design, integration, and testing of advanced audio/visual and collaboration systems for federal, local, and commercial customers.

Ideal candidates have a strong background in AV/IT infrastructures, experience with Crestron/AMX/Extron, and the ability to travel up to 20%. The company offers a comprehensive benefits package and ongoing leadership development

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related engineering discipline with 5+ years or Master's with 3+ years' progressive experience.
• Experience developing hardware/software solutions for data center/virtual infrastructure.
• Experience with cost estimates and work breakdown structures for complex projects.
• Experience coaching junior colleagues and cross-disciplinary teamwork.

Responsabilidades

• Design hardware/software framework for large complex resilient systems and create drawing packages/BOMs in CAD.
• Design and test videoconferencing and AV technologies and control systems.
• Develop AV systems with Crestron, AMX and Extron control systems.
• Conduct customer site surveys, gather requirements, develop project scopes, and provide system costing.
• Design and test network/telecommunications systems including IP/ISDN networks.
• Interpret plans/specs to specify materials/equipment and ensure compliance.
• Develop goals/plans, test plans for AV control systems, and on-site training.
