Comprehensive Technologies International in Raleigh, NC is seeking an Audio Visual Design Engineer to turn client ideas into build-ready AV systems. You will serve as the technical backbone from concept through execution, partnering with Sales, PMs, BIM/CAD, and the field to ensure designs are buildable and CTI-compliant.

You will design complete AV systems for conference rooms and enterprise spaces, create signal flow diagrams and drawings in Visio or CAD, review scopes, select equipment, and

Qualifications

• 3+ years designing commercial AV systems.
• Experience creating AV drawings and documentation (signal flow, system drawings, Visio/CAD).
• Communicate clearly to translate tech to humans and support cross-team coordination.
• Collaborative, supportive work style with independent initiative.

Responsibilities

• Design complete commercial AV systems for conference rooms and enterprise spaces.
• Create AV signal flow diagrams, system drawings, and documentation (Visio and/or CAD).
• Review project scope and kickoff info to clarify technical requirements.
• Select equipment and define system architecture aligned with CTI standards and budget.
• Collaborate with Sales, PMs, BIM/CAD, architects, consultants, IT, and electrical teams.
• Provide technical direction and QA on drawings for field use; support execution with questions.
