Job summary

Scientific Systems is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to advance autonomy architectures for autonomous and crewed/uncrewed collaboration programs. You will create architecture models using MBSE, apply SysML, and leverage AFSIM to quantify system effectiveness.

The role requires close collaboration with customers and engineering teams. You will lead system-level design reviews, drive analysis and interface definition, and contribute to proposals with modeling and simulation artifacts.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelors' of Science in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive systems engineering experience in a related industry.
• Experience with MBSE and SysML tools.
• Experience with modeling & simulation (M&S) tools like AFSIM.

Responsibilities

• Support SRR/PDR/CDR/TRR reviews for Autonomy Systems and define interfaces and viewpoints per customer standards (DoDAF).
• Conduct system-level integration and test to ensure autonomy systems meet requirements.
• Define and document system requirements, interfaces, and performance metrics.
• Lead autonomy architecture development and act as primary customer liaison for architectural efforts.
• Perform system modeling and analysis using MBSE and tools like Cameo/MagicDraw; maintain traceability.
• Support proposals with M&S, data analysis and technical content preparation.
• Develop autonomy system architectures, models, data, and interfaces; perform requirements analyses.
• Develop knowledge of Aerospace and DoD Systems Engineering Management processes; travel as needed; security clearance.
