Job summary

AV is seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to perform systems engineering across a family of unmanned systems for defense and commercial applications. You will develop requirements, perform MBSE analyses, and collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to shape architectures and interfaces.

You will support verification planning, participate in design reviews with customers, and travel up to 10% for customer meetings and test events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering or related field; or equivalent.
• 5+ years in architecting, modifying, and supporting complex defense/aerospace systems.
• Proficiency in MBSE with SysML and Cameo; Jama experience.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. DoD Secret clearance.
• Experience with requirements management and end-to-end traceability.

Responsibilities

• Develop system, subsystem, and component requirements with traceability.
• Perform functional analysis and MBSE-based architecture development.
• Define and manage system interfaces; create ICDs.
• Contribute to system trade studies (performance, cost, schedule, risk).
• Assist with verification/validation planning and test execution.
• Participate in design reviews with customers and stakeholders.
• Travel up to 10% for meetings and tests.
