Job summary

Scientific Systems, based in Burlington, MA, seeks a Senior Systems Engineer II to lead model-based systems engineering efforts for autonomous platforms. You will develop and document complex system architectures, employing SysML and MBSE within a DoDAF-aligned framework.

You will drive cross-functional architecture sessions, integrate models into CI/CD workflows, and collaborate with software and platform teams to verify requirements and ensure aligned baselines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, plus 5+ years of progressive systems engineering experience.
• Experience with the development, integration, and test of autonomous systems.
• Experience with MBSE and formal tools for SysML.
• Strong background in systems engineering principles applied within DevOps or CI/CD ecosystems.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and evolve system models using SysML or related modeling languages.
• Design and document service‑based architectures emphasizing modularity, scalability, and clear interfaces.
• Integrate MBSE products within CI/CD pipelines to ensure models remain authoritative throughout the lifecycle.
