Job summary

Scientific Systems Company, Inc. seeks a Senior Systems Engineer II to lead and contribute to system-level architectures within a digital engineering ecosystem. The role emphasizes MBSE, DoDAF viewpoints, SysML, and service-based patterns across autonomous systems.

Candidates will integrate MBSE into CI/CD pipelines, work with software, integration, and platform teams, and communicate complex architectures to diverse audiences. A US DOD security clearance is required for the role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Systems Engineering or related field with 5+ years of progressive systems engineering experience.
• Experience with autonomous systems development, integration and test.
• Experience with MBSE and SysML tools.
• Strong DevOps/CI/CD experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and document system models using SysML and service-based architectures.
• Define modeling conventions and toolchains enabling traceability across requirements, behaviors, interfaces, and verification artifacts.
• Integrate MBSE artifacts within CI/CD pipelines.
• Lead architecture sessions and align across disciplines.
• Support transition of software designs to distributed, service-oriented implementations.
• Collaborate with software, integration, and platform teams to maintain architectural cohesion.
