Job summary

Scientific Systems in Massachusetts seeks a Senior Software Engineer to develop software for autonomous flight systems and AI/ML programs supporting uncrewed and crewed collaboration.

You will architect and implement multi-vehicle autonomy software, integrate with existing architectures, and collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams; travel to test events may be required, and the role requires ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD security clearance.

Qualifications

• BS degree or higher in a STEM field with strong math/engineering foundations.
• 5+ years in software R&D for AI in robotics or autonomous systems.
• Experience building modular, production-quality autonomy software.
• Proficiency in C/C++ and Python; memory-safe languages desired.

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop advanced software for multi-vehicle autonomy in contested environments.
• Collaborate on design, implementation, and testing of autonomy software for embedded systems.
• Present technical results to internal and external customers.
• Help integrate work into a unified software architecture.
