Job summary

Motional in Pittsburgh is seeking a software engineer to build the on-vehicle communications framework and the software execution framework for autonomous vehicles. You will develop internal communication libraries, network metrics systems, and data-flow visualization tools, and work on the Diagnostics system to monitor AV status in real time to ensure safety.

You should have a Bachelor’s in Computer Science or Robotics and at least two years of experience in software development for autonomous

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, or closely related technical field.
Two years of working experience in software development for autonomous robotics.
Experience must include C++, C, Python and software engineering principles (design, source control management, build processes, code reviews, testing).

Responsibilities

Build future on-vehicle communications framework and software execution framework.
Develop internal communication library, network metrics systems, and tools to visualize data flow.
Develop the monitoring Diagnostics system in autonomous vehicle to monitor the AV status at runtime to ensure AV safety.
Drive system monitoring framework implementation and design infrastructure to enable high performance autonomy components to operate reliably at fleet scales.
