Job summary

Stack AV Co seeks a Senior Software Engineer for Core Infrastructure and Platforms in Pittsburgh, PA or Remote. You will design, implement, test, and deploy features across Stack's robotics middleware and vehicle software stack, including Clockwork and StackOS, enabling production-grade autonomy.

The role emphasizes high-performance software, low-latency data handling, and collaboration with Autonomy, Cloud, and Safety teams to extend capabilities and reliability of safety-critical systems.

Qualifications

• Experience building high-throughput, low-latency systems for safety-critical applications.
• Proficiency in C++ with multi-threading and memory management skills.
• Strong background in Linux, POSIX, and concurrent programming.
• Experience with performance evaluation and optimization in resource-constrained environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement high-throughput logging frameworks for telemetry and events.
• Develop features and optimizations for Clockwork across autonomy, cloud, and safety teams.
• Improve performance, reliability, and usability of Clockwork in various environments.
• Support sensor interface development for the Perception system.
• Ensure high-quality software with automated testing and code reviews.
