Job summary

Scientific Systems is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to develop software for autonomous flight and uncrewed systems. You will design and implement AI/ML driven autonomy for multi-vehicle operations in complex environments.

The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, integration of existing work into unified architecture, and occasional travel to test events. A strong background in C/C++, Python, and modern toolchains is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field.
• 4+ years of software development/R&D in AI for Robotics or autonomous systems.
• Experience building modular, maintainable autonomy software.
• Experience with C/C++, Python and memory-safe languages.

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop advanced software for multi-vehicle autonomy in complex environments.
• Provide technical expertise to design, implement, and test autonomy software for embedded uncrewed systems.
• Support presentation of technical results to customers and stakeholders.
• Support integration of existing work into a unified software architecture.
• Occasional travel to remote test events and ability to obtain DoD security clearance.
