Job summary

Scientific Systems is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to develop advanced AI/ML software for Autonomous Vehicles and Uncrewed Systems. You will architect, implement, and test multi-vehicle autonomy software for complex environments and embedded platforms.

Responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams, presenting results to customers, and integrating work into a unified software architecture. Travel to remote test events may be required; DoD clearance is needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Math, Statistics, Engineering, Physical Science, Computer Science, Operations Research, Data Science
• 5+ years of experience in software development/R&D of AI for Robotics, Machine Learning, Robot Planning/Optimization Techniques, and/or Autonomous Uncrewed Systems Software.
• Experience developing modular, maintainable, production-quality autonomy software.
• Experience with C/C++, Python, and memory-safe languages (desired).
• Familiarity with modern software development tool chains and processes (Agile, git/Gitlab/Github, Confluence/Jira, CI/CD, Conan, SonarQube, automated test methodologies).

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop software for multi-vehicle autonomy in complex environments.
• Design, implement and test autonomy software for embedded uncrewed multi-vehicle systems.
• Support presentation of technical results to internal and external customers.
• Support integration of existing work into a unified software architecture.
• Flexibility for travel to remote test events and ability to obtain a DoD security clearance.
