Job summary

Torc Robotics is seeking a Senior Autonomy Core Frameworks Software Engineer to architect and advance the foundational frameworks of our autonomous driving stack. You will own technical direction for core autonomy components and drive improvements in code quality and reliability.

As a senior technical leader, you will collaborate with Behavior and Perception teams, design robust architectural patterns, and mentor engineers while raising engineering standards across the organization.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience or 6+ with a Master’s degree.
• Deep expertise in C++17 and modern software architecture.
• Experience with autonomous systems, distributed systems, or embedded environments.
• Strong testing, CI/CD, and build systems experience.
• Mentor engineers and lead architectural reviews.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, and evolution of core autonomy frameworks.
• Drive real-time C++ components for reliable data flow and observability.
• Define scalable architectural patterns and design decisions.
• Collaborate with Behavior and Perception teams to maintain clean interfaces.
• Mentor engineers and uphold engineering standards across the platform.
• Champion validation, testing strategies, and production readiness.
