Job summary

Fabrica AI is seeking an engineer to advance autonomous robot software using ROS2, focusing on real-time performance and reliable edge deployment. You will build perception pipelines, calibrate sensors and integrate AI models into the stack.

Candidates should have strong C++ and Python skills, embedded C experience, and hands-on robotics experience with Gazebo, Git and CI/CD workflows. This role is based on-site in the United States.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in C++ for performance-critical systems.
• Experience with Python scripting and ML pipelines.
• Embedded development experience in C.
• Familiarity with ROS2 and robotics software stacks.
• Experience with version control and collaborative workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain software modules for autonomous robot operation using ROS2.
• Support perception pipelines for data collection, labeling and preprocessing.
• Develop and integrate AI/ML models into the robot software stack and deploy onto edge hardware.
• Research state-of-the-art AI techniques for robotics and scene understanding.
• Calibrate on-robot sensors including cameras and LiDAR.
• Develop firmware and device communication with CAN, I2C and SPI.
• Evaluate third party libraries and CI/CD pipelines.
• Design and execute testing strategies including unit, integration and HIL tests.
• Diagnose and resolve software and firmware issues; build tooling for testing and diagnostics.
• Participate in design reviews and contribute to documentation and standards.
