Job summary

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking an experienced Robot Application Developer to design, develop, and integrate software for autonomous robotic systems. The ideal candidate will have expertise in C++, Python, ROS/ROS 2, perception, motion planning, and robotics software development.

The role requires 6+ years of robotics software experience, strong programming skills, and hands-on ROS/ROS 2 with sensor pipelines. Remote work within the U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s in Robotics, CS, or EE
• 5+ years of robotics software development experience
• Strong C++ and Python skills
• Hands-on ROS/ROS 2 experience
• Experience with perception, localization, motion planning, or robot control
• Familiarity with sensor fusion and simulation environments
• Strong debugging, communication, and documentation skills

Responsibilities

• Develop robotics applications using C++ and Python.
• Design and integrate sensor pipelines (LiDAR, cameras, IMUs, and other sensors).
• Implement perception, localization, SLAM, motion planning, and control algorithms.
• Develop applications using ROS/ROS 2 and integrate with robotic hardware.
• Build and test robotic solutions using simulation tools such as Gazebo or Isaac Sim.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, support field testing, and mentor junior engineers.
