Job summary

SR2, a pioneering robotics company in California, seeks a Robotics Software Engineer to develop and deploy autonomous systems using C++, Python and ROS2 on real robots.

You will collaborate with software, electrical and mechanical engineers to build production-quality robotics software, addressing motion planning, perception and manipulation, and hardware integration challenges in a fast-paced startup environment.

Qualifications

• Expertise with C++ and Python in robotics software.
• Hands-on ROS/ROS2 development experience.
• Experience deploying production robotics or autonomous systems.
• Strong debugging and systems-level thinking.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and deploy robotics software using C++, Python and ROS2.
• Build software for autonomous robotics, motion control, perception and manipulation.
• Develop reliable, production-quality robotics systems that operate on physical hardware.
• Debug complex software and hardware interactions across robotics platforms.
• Work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to prototype, test and ship new robotics features.
• Improve system performance, reliability and scalability through testing, logging and optimization.
