Job summary

Carter Myers Automotive in Winchester, VA seeks an experienced Automotive Technician to join our service department. Subaru experience is a plus but not required; we welcome skilled technicians from all backgrounds who are eager to grow and contribute to a high-performing team.

You will perform diagnostics and repairs across engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, HVAC, and electrical, use the latest tools, complete maintenance inspections, and stay current with manufacturer and dealership

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of professional automotive repair and diagnostic experience.
• Strong diagnostic and repair skills across a variety of makes and models.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• ASE certifications preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate diagnostics and repairs on a wide range of automotive systems, including engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, steering, HVAC, and electrical.
• Utilize diagnostic tools, technical resources, and repair procedures to efficiently identify and resolve issues.
• Complete factory-recommended maintenance, video inspections, and multi-point inspections.
• Maintain a high standard of workmanship and attention to detail in all repairs and services.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with service advisors regarding vehicle status and recommended repairs.
• Adhere to manufacturer and dealership repair standards, safety protocols, and best practices.
• Stay current with required training and certifications.
• Keep a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
