Job summary

Pep Boys is seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to inspect, diagnose and repair tire and automotive services while delivering an exceptional customer experience. The role involves explaining repair needs to customers and coworkers, and continually updating technical knowledge in a fast-evolving field.

You will train and mentor teammates, maintain a clean, safe shop, and adhere to all safety policies. High school diploma or GED required with at least 1 year of automotive experience; ASE

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of automotive diagnostic/repair experience.
• 2+ ASE certifications preferred (A4 Steering and Suspension & A5 Brakes).
• 609 certification preferred.
• State inspections license if applicable.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Pre-employment background check.
• Ability to work days/nights/holidays/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair brakes, exhaust, electrical, cooling, suspension, and alignment per specifications.
• Provide explanations of diagnoses and needed repairs to customers and team members.
• Mentor and assist fellow technicians while maintaining a tidy, safe shop.
• Continuously learn new automotive technologies through training.
• Follow company safety policies and environmental rules.
