Job summary

Pep Boys in Buford, GA is hiring a Technician to inspect, diagnose and repair tire and automotive services while delivering an excellent customer experience. You will explain diagnoses and needed repairs to customers and coworkers and stay current with evolving automotive technology.

You will train and mentor teammates, keep the shop organized and safe, and adhere to all safety rules. A valid driver's license and a HS diploma are required, with ASE certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of automotive diagnostic and repair experience.
• 2+ ASE certifications preferred (A4 Steering and Suspension; A5 Brakes).
• 609 certification preferred.
• State Inspection license if applicable.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Pre-employment background check.
• Availability to work days, nights, holidays, and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications across brake, hydraulic, exhaust, electrical, cooling, suspension and alignment.
• Assist fellow technicians in performing technical activities.
• Explain diagnoses and needed repairs to customers and non-mechanical staff.
• Maintain an organized and safe shop; adhere to company policies and safety rules.
