Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license at all times.
• Brake and hydraulics or steering & suspension skills.
• General automotive maintenance & tire repair.
• Current federal, state, and local certification/license.
• Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair brakes, hydraulics, exhaust, fuel ignition, electrical, suspension, A/C and computer systems.
• Explain technical diagnoses clearly to non-mechanics.
• Stay current with automotive tech through paid formal training.
• Assist and train technicians/mechanics in technical tasks.
• Obtain or maintain ASE certifications (A1–A8) within two years.
