Job summary

Leeds West Groups, operating Midas Champaign in Champaign, IL, seeks an experienced Automotive Technician to perform repair and maintenance on cars, trucks, and other motor vehicles.

You will use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot issues, complete routine maintenance, and ensure work meets manufacturer specifications. The role emphasizes safety, quality service, and customer communication in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or preferred; automotive technical training encouraged.
• ASE or other relevant certifications are a plus.
• Active, unrestricted driver’s license required and legal authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Perform repair and maintenance for cars, trucks, and other vehicles.
• Conduct comprehensive vehicle inspections and identify safety concerns.
• Repair tasks including engine, brake, suspension, and other mechanical services.
• Use diagnostic equipment and manuals to troubleshoot automotive problems.
• Maintain thorough inspection records and communicate repair recommendations to customers.
• Support and mentor junior technicians and apprentices as needed.
