Job summary

Leeds West Groups in Peru, Illinois seeks an Experienced Automotive Technician to perform repair work and maintenance on cars, trucks, and other motor vehicles. The role emphasizes safety, integrity, teamwork, and exceptional service, with opportunities to mentor junior technicians.

You will use diagnostic tools and follow manufacturer specs to ensure high-quality workmanship while promoting excellent customer service and efficient shop operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18.
• Active and unrestricted driver’s license required.
• High school diploma or equivalent; automotive training preferred.
• 3–5 years related experience preferred.
• ASE or other relevant certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform repair and maintenance on cars, trucks, and other motor vehicles.
• Inspect vehicles and identify mechanical, electrical, or safety concerns.
• Use diagnostic equipment and manuals to diagnose complex problems.
• Complete repairs meeting manufacturer specs and safety standards.
• Provide accurate estimates and communicate with customers.
• Mentor junior technicians and apprentices as needed.

Education
