Job summary

Magna Exteriors is seeking a Senior Design Engineer to lead the design and release of CAD data for new and existing exterior products. You will support launches, drive design reviews, and work with manufacturing to ensure cost-effective, manufacturable designs.

The role requires 10+ years in engineering, strong CATIA/NX CAD skills, and MS Office proficiency. Occasional travel and on-site work in North America may be required as projects demand.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering or technical field.
• 10+ years of experience in design engineering in the automotive/industrial sector.
• Expert CAD experience (CATIA/NX) and GD&T knowledge.
• Strong documentation, drawing, and data release capabilities.
• Experience with product development processes and PDLP/TraX is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete detail and layout drawings of prototypes using CAD tools.
• Participate in design reviews, surveillance, and project management activities.
• Release CAD data and drawings to support new product launches.
• Support manufacturing CI events and supplier/customer requests.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize manufacturability and cost.
