Job summary

ALTEN Technology USA is seeking a Senior Design Quality Engineer focused on visual quality, craftsmanship, and Class-A appearance across interior and exterior components. You will work with Design, CMF, Mastering, Suppliers, and Manufacturing to ensure design intent meets production readiness.

The role requires 8+ years in quality/product development with at least 5 years in automotive, and strong attention to detail, organization, and communication to drive issues to resolution across multiple

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Quality, Product Development, Craftsmanship, Design Validation, or related disciplines.
• Minimum 5 years of automotive industry experience.
• Experience evaluating appearance-sensitive or Class-A automotive components.
• Experience working with suppliers and cross-functional engineering teams.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design Quality & Craftsmanship Validation across Class-A components.
• Review molded parts for tool quality before grain application.
• Approve appearance-related parts (painted, wrapped, chrome, MIC).
• Support PPAP signoff and production readiness.
• Collaborate with Design, CMF, Mastering, Suppliers for issue resolution.
• Maintain documentation and track grain approvals and craft reviews.
• Drive alignment between design intent and production execution.
