Job summary

ALTEN Technology USA seeks a Supplier Quality Engineer to join our automotive manufacturing team. You will manage supplier quality for chassis, exterior, and thermal systems, performing root cause analysis and driving corrective actions.

This role supports PPAP, audits, and cross-functional collaboration with engineering, purchasing, and manufacturing, with a second shift and competitive salary range discussed during hiring.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in supplier quality or quality engineering within automotive or manufacturing environments.
• Strong knowledge of quality tools and methodologies (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC).
• Familiarity with chassis, exterior, and thermal systems.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently on second shift and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor supplier quality performance for assigned commodities (Chassis, Exterior, Thermal).
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for supplier-related issues.
• Collaborate with suppliers to drive continuous improvement and compliance with specifications.
• Support incoming inspection processes and resolve non-conformance issues promptly.
• Participate in PPAP and ensure proper documentation.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing) to address quality concerns.
• Maintain accurate records of supplier audits, quality metrics, and corrective actions.
