Job summary

CBRE's Global Workplace Solutions Local is seeking a Senior Automated Technician to support the Maintenance and Production Support team in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining advanced automated material handling systems.

You will work with ASRS crane systems, AMRs, autonomous forklifts, Cognex vision systems, and related conveyors, mentoring junior technicians while contributing to continuous improvement in a fast-moving facility.

Qualifications

Technical degree or equivalent in Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, Robotics.
Demonstrated experience with high-volume automated distribution environments, ASRS cranes, AMRs, or autonomous vehicles.
Strong ability to diagnose issues using electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and OEM manuals.
Familiarity with industrial controls, sensor networks, and vision systems (Cognex or similar).
Comfortable using a CMMS (Maximo) to manage work orders and maintenance history.

Responsibilities

Promote a safe working environment by following safety procedures and site safety standards.
Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on ASRS cranes, AMRs, autonomous forklifts, vision systems, conveyors, and related controls.
Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and control issues on material handling systems and Cognex vision systems.
Read blueprints and schematics to diagnose and resolve failures quickly.
Track and manage maintenance inventory and maintain relationships across operations.
Mentor other technicians and support continuous improvement efforts.
Work flexible schedules to support operational needs.
