Job summary

Sustainment Technologies Inc. is seeking a senior, hands-on QA automation engineer to lead the move to a fully automated Playwright suite, supporting a daily release cadence.

This player-coach role focuses 80% on testing and automation and 20% on mentoring two QA engineers and standardizing QA processes within our engineering team. Eligibility for U.S. Secret or Top Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Senior-level experience in QA and test automation (6+ years).
• Hands-on with Playwright or Cypress and API testing.
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitLab a plus).
• Experience mentoring engineers or owning QA processes for a small team.
• Comfort with Jira for test and defect management.

Responsibilities

• Drive shift to a comprehensive, fully automated Playwright test suite.
• Build, maintain, and scale automated UI and API tests in CI/CD.
• Contribute to manual and exploratory testing when needed.
• Stand up QA quality instrumentation to measure shipped quality.
• Champion AI-assisted testing as we scale toward AI-native development.
• Mentor two QA engineers and raise automation capability.
• Own and standardize QA process, tests, and definition of done.
