Job summary

Cognify Global, a Houston-based automation and systems integration company, is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead automation and controls projects from concept to commissioning in Plano or Tomball, TX. The role emphasizes a strong technical background in automation and system integration.

You will work with customers, engineering teams, programmers, vendors and field personnel to deliver projects safely, on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading automation, controls or systems integration projects.
• Strong background in industrial automation and control systems.
• Hands-on PLC programming experience and developing control systems from scratch.
• Familiarity with major control platforms such as Allen-Bradley/Rockwell, Siemens or Ignition.
• Knowledge of PLC, HMI, SCADA and process control systems.
• Experience collaborating with engineering and programming teams.
• Solid grasp of project budgets, schedules and resources.
• Excellent customer-facing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead automation and controls projects from concept through commissioning.
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, resources and customer deliverables.
• Work with controls engineers and programmers throughout the lifecycle.
• Provide technical oversight across PLC, HMI, SCADA and control systems.
• Review engineering designs, programming and documentation.
• Coordinate FAT, SAT, startup and commissioning activities.
• Maintain client relationships as primary point of contact.
• Coordinate internal teams, subcontractors and vendors.
• Identify and manage project risks and changes.
• Monitor financial performance and ensure commercial success.
• Ensure delivery per customer specifications and quality standards.
