Job summary

EDG Inc is seeking an Automation Sr. Project Manager to oversee offshore automation projects in The Woodlands, TX. You will lead client teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to deliver capital projects, coordinating with operations, maintenance, and vendors while ensuring ICSS design compliance and safety.

Responsibilities include scheduling, cost estimation, and stakeholder communication, with a strong emphasis on safety culture and regulatory standards. Offshore travel is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Petroleum, Electrical/Computer, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or similar.
• 10+ years of technical experience designing and implementing PLC and DCS control systems.
• 10+ years total experience in the automation industry.
• Current HUET certification or ability to attain it.
• Hands-on knowledge of related engineering systems, calculations, methods and software.
• Desire to learn production processes, systems and new technologies.
• Knowledge of project execution in automation projects.
• Knowledge of industry/regulatory codes and standards.
• Strong oral and written communication.
• Strong organizational skills in engineering activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-discipline teams to deliver engineering and design services for technology and automation projects.
• Develop schedules and plans for project elements.
• Develop forecasts, schedules, cost estimates and financial reports.
• Ensure client satisfaction and safe delivery within budgets and schedules.
• Be a visible safety-focused leader to motivate team performance.
• Maintain documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Track, report, and communicate project status to stakeholders.
