Job summary

EDG Inc. is seeking a Facilities Automation Lead in The Woodlands, TX to manage and coordinate multiple offshore project assets, driving MOC processes and ensuring facility upgrades meet safety and regulatory standards.

The role demands deep ICSS expertise, cross‑functional collaboration, and strong engineering judgment. The ideal candidate has 10+ years in automation and control systems, offshore experience, and HUET or the ability to obtain it.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field is preferred.
• 10+ years designing and implementing control systems (PLC and DCS).
• 10+ years total experience in automation.
• HUET certification or ability to obtain.
• Knowledge of engineering systems, methods, and software.
• Interest in learning production processes and new technologies.
• Knowledge of automation project execution and relevant codes/standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Management of Change (MOC) projects for offshore assets.
• Prepare scoping docs and coordinate with vendors for estimates.
• Coordinate with facility engineering to approve funding.
• Review deliverables to ensure alignment with requirements.
• Review MOC docs to ensure accurate design.
• Research facility docs to plan modifications and improvements.
• Communicate with stakeholders to ensure timely execution.
• Participate in Factory Acceptance Testing of PLC/HMI changes.
• Visit facilities to support and coordinate work.
• Coordinate with offshore personnel, office engineers, schedulers, EPCs and vendor systems teams.
