Job summary

Top Echelon Software, LLC is seeking a Senior Robotics & Controls Engineer to lead turnkey automation projects in the Greater Milwaukee area. You will engineer ground-up cell builds, integrate robotic platforms, vision systems, and PLCs, and oversee client commissioning on site.

You will travel 30–40% to sites worldwide, owning complex automation programs from design kickoff to final handover, with a strong emphasis on engineering craftsmanship and comprehensive systems integration.

Qualifications

Requires engineering degree (2- or 4-year).
4–6 years of industrial robotics & PLC integration on custom machinery.
Hands-on mastery of Fanuc, Yaskawa, or ABB robotics with PLC troubleshooting.
Proficiency with industrial vision systems, offline simulation tools, CAD/SolidWorks.
Able to diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, fluid power, and software issues.

Responsibilities

Initialize robotic platforms on Fanuc/ABB/Yaskawa to set up cells and IO networks.
Design control logic and architecture for master PLC coordination.
Deploy and program industrial vision systems for guidance and inspection.
Lead in-house assembly, wiring checks, and EOAT integration.
Travel 30–40% domestically and internationally for field commissioning.
Support applications engineering with layout insights and cycle-time analysis.
Mentor assembly personnel to optimize workflows and meet specs.
