KingRecruitingServices in Milwaukee, WI is seeking a Senior Robotics & Controls Engineer to lead ground-up custom automation projects for global manufacturing clients. You will own robotic cell design, integration, in-house builds, and client commissioning, with travel to sites worldwide.

This direct-hire, 1st shift role requires 4–6 years of robotics/PLC experience, proficiency with Fanuc/Yaskawa/ABB, and strong vision/CAD skills.

Qualifications

Engineering degree (2- or 4-year) in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Software.
4–6 years of dedicated industrial robotics & PLC integration experience on custom manufacturing machinery.
Hands-on mastery of Fanuc, Yaskawa, or ABB robot platforms with advanced PLC troubleshooting skills.
Proficiency with industrial vision systems, offline simulation tools, and CAD/SolidWorks.
Diagnose and debug complex automated machinery across robotic, electrical, fluid power, and mechanical domains.
Willingness to travel 30–40% and have a valid driver’s license & passport.

Responsibilities

Initialize robotic platforms and configure I/O networks on Fanuc, ABB, or Yaskawa robots.
Design control logic to coordinate with master PLC controllers and other equipment.
Deploy and program industrial vision systems for guidance, inspection, and handling.
Lead in-house assembly, wiring verification, and EOAT integration.
Execute field commissioning with 30–40% travel domestically and internationally.
Support applications engineering with layout insights, cycle-time analyses, and quotes.
Mentor in-house technicians to optimize build workflows and meet specifications.
