Job summary

GAF is seeking a Corporate Automation and Controls Engineer IV to provide technical leadership for control and automation systems across plants. You will troubleshoot production line issues, guide controls personnel, and drive innovative solutions while upholding standards and cross-functional collaboration.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering, 5+ years of controls experience (10+ preferred), and US work authorization. Expect ~60% travel and remote US work options where applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required.
• 5+ years controls engineering in a continuous manufacturing environment; 10+ years preferred.
• US work authorization without sponsorship required.
• Proficiency with Rockwell software including Studio 5000, RSLogix 500, FTView, CCW and FTAC.
• Experience with Allen-Bradley PowerFlex drives and HMI development (FTView/Wonderware).

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary internal resource for control systems across plants.
• Lead and facilitate strategic control projects spanning multiple plants.
• Provide plant support and troubleshooting for production lines.
• Coordinate with the controls group and maintain standards across the organization.
• Mentor and coach plant controls personnel and regional engineers.
