Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Senior Automation Engineer to maximize equipment reliability in our fulfillment centers. You will lead proactive controls automation, mentor junior engineers, and drive projects across MHE systems.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or 4+ years PLC automation experience.
Willing to work nights/weekends/holidays.
4+ years PLC-controlled automation and issue diagnosis experience.
4+ years of robotics work cells and control systems experience.
4+ years of ladder logic in Siemens/AB/Codesys.
4+ years electrical theory and automated equipment experience.

Responsibilities

Apply SME on troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for automation issues.
Collaborate with Operations, FC Start-up, software teams, and Safety to optimize MHE systems.
Understand and troubleshoot PLC/PC controllers and industrial networks (Ethernet, ControlNet, DeviceNet, Profibus).
Monitor MHE metrics and analyze performance for uptime improvements.
Provide escalation support during/after hours to ensure timely repairs.
