Job summary
Garmin International seeks a Senior Automation Engineer - Mechanical Engineering for its U.S. headquarters in the Greater Kansas City area.
You will design and implement automated systems and robotic solutions to improve operations and warehouse efficiency, leading projects and mentoring junior engineers. Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in an engineering discipline and 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Excellent academics (GPA ≥ 3.0).
- Expert CAD and programming tool knowledge.
- Experience designing and troubleshooting complex mechanical systems.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration.
- Ability to lead projects and document work.
Responsibilities
- Create complex automated and robotic systems and applications.
- Lead moderately complex automation projects across teams.
- Develop documentation including operating instructions and user manuals.
- Mentor junior automation engineers and participate in recruiting activities.
- Support global warehouse initiatives and Smart Factory enablement.
- Communicate effectively with other business segments to align automation goals.
